Welcome to Barkee.
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) apply when you use our websites at barkee.co.uk and barkee.com, or purchase products from Barkee. By using our websites or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully before ordering.
1. About Us
Barkee Ltd (“Barkee”, “we”, “us” or “our”) is a company registered in England and Wales under Company No. 16654069, with our registered office in London, United Kingdom.
All orders placed through barkee.co.uk and barkee.com are sold by Barkee Ltd.
UK orders are fulfilled and personalized in the United Kingdom. US orders are fulfilled and personalized from our fulfillment center in Connecticut, USA.
2. Ordering
All orders are subject to availability and acceptance.
After placing an order, you will receive an order confirmation email. Your order is accepted when we send you confirmation that it has been dispatched.
Some Barkee products include personalized elements, such as custom name tags. Because we aim to prepare orders quickly, changes or cancellations may not be possible once an order has entered production.
If you forget to add personalized name tags when placing your order, please contact us within 14 days of your order date.
For UK orders, we can produce the tags at no additional product cost, but a £6.99 shipping and handling fee will apply.
For US orders, we can produce the tags at no additional product cost, but a $9.99 shipping and handling fee will apply.
After 14 days, additional or replacement name tags may be purchased separately.
Nothing in these Terms affects any consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
3. Pricing and Payment
United Kingdom
Prices on barkee.co.uk are displayed in pounds sterling (GBP) and include VAT where applicable.
Any applicable shipping charges will be displayed at checkout before you complete your purchase.
United States
Prices on barkee.com are displayed in US dollars (USD).
Applicable sales taxes, shipping charges and any other applicable charges will be calculated or displayed at checkout before you complete your purchase.
For both markets, we accept the payment methods displayed at checkout.
4. Shipping
United Kingdom
UK orders are personalized and dispatched from our UK fulfillment center.
Shipping charges, free-shipping thresholds, available shipping methods and estimated delivery times are displayed on our website and/or at checkout.
United States
US orders are personalized and dispatched from our fulfillment center in Connecticut, USA.
Shipping charges, free-shipping thresholds, available shipping methods and estimated delivery times are displayed on our website and/or at checkout.
Delivery
Any dispatch or delivery timeframes provided on our websites or at checkout are estimates and are not guaranteed.
Delivery may occasionally be affected by busy periods, promotions, personalization requirements, carrier delays, weather or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Once your order has been dispatched, we'll provide shipping confirmation and tracking information where available.
5. Returns and Exchanges
We want you and your dog to love your Barkee products.
Our applicable Shipping & Returns Policy forms part of these Terms and sets out the current return and exchange conditions for your market.
United Kingdom
UK customers may return or exchange eligible products in accordance with our UK Shipping & Returns Policy and applicable UK consumer law.
Our standard change-of-mind return period is 30 days from delivery, subject to the conditions set out in our Shipping & Returns Policy.
United States
US customers may return eligible products within 45 days of delivery, subject to the conditions set out in our Shipping & Returns Policy.
We offer free size exchanges on eligible US orders within 45 days of delivery. For approved size exchanges, Barkee covers the cost of returning the item and sending the replacement.
For US change-of-mind returns, customers are responsible for return postage.
Personalized name tags are covered by our US 45-day return policy, provided the applicable return conditions are met.
If part of a bundle or set is returned, the products retained may be recalculated at their full individual prices and the refund adjusted accordingly.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to limit any consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
6. Personalized Products
Certain Barkee products are made or personalized specifically for you and your dog.
The applicable conditions for cancellations, returns and exchanges of personalized products are set out in our Shipping & Returns Policy and may differ depending on the country in which you placed your order.
If a personalized product is faulty, damaged, incorrect or otherwise gives rise to rights that cannot legally be excluded, personalization does not remove those rights.
7. Products and Intended Use
Barkee products should only be used for their intended purpose and in accordance with the instructions and care guidance provided.
Harnesses, leads and other dog-walking products should be inspected regularly for signs of wear or damage. Products should not be used if they are damaged or if their continued use could be unsafe.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, Barkee products are not designed, tested or certified for use as vehicle safety restraints or crash-tested car harnesses.
Dog owners remain responsible for determining whether a product is suitable for their dog and for using it appropriately.
8. Product Care and Normal Wear
Please follow the care instructions supplied with your Barkee product.
Normal wear and tear can occur through regular use.
Our guarantee does not cover damage caused by misuse, accidents, improper care, chewing, rough play, dragging, unauthorized modification, use outside the product's intended purpose, or products that have reached the end of their normal service life through extensive use.
A well-loved harness may naturally show signs of wear over time. Normal wear alone does not indicate a manufacturing fault.
Nothing in this section excludes or limits rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.
9. Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Products
If your order arrives faulty, damaged or incorrect, or you believe a product has developed a manufacturing fault, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible.
Please provide your order number, a description of the issue and, where possible, clear photographs showing the problem.
Claims are assessed individually.
Where we confirm that a product has developed a manufacturing fault during normal and intended use, we'll provide an appropriate remedy, which may include a replacement, refund or store credit, and cover reasonable associated shipping costs where appropriate.
Nothing in this section affects any rights or remedies available to you under applicable consumer law.
10. Refunds
Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method.
After we have processed a refund, the time it takes to appear in your account may depend on your bank, card issuer or payment provider.

11. Intellectual Property
All content on Barkee websites, including the Barkee name and trademarks, logos, photographs, videos, graphics, text, product names, designs and other content, is owned by or licensed to Barkee Ltd and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute or commercially use our content without our prior written permission, except where permitted by law.
12. Website Use
You must not misuse our websites, knowingly introduce malicious or harmful technology, attempt to gain unauthorized access to our websites or systems, or use our websites for unlawful purposes.
We may suspend or restrict access to our websites where reasonably necessary to protect Barkee, our customers or our systems.
13. Limitation of Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability where doing so would be unlawful.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any consumer rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Barkee Ltd will not be responsible for indirect, incidental or consequential losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when your contract with us was formed.
Where permitted by applicable law, our total liability relating to an order will not exceed the amount paid for the products giving rise to the claim.
14. Governing Law
These Terms and any contract between you and Barkee Ltd are governed by the laws of England and Wales, except to the extent that mandatory laws applicable to you provide otherwise.
If you are a consumer, nothing in these Terms is intended to deprive you of protections or remedies that apply to you under mandatory consumer laws in your place of residence.
UK consumers may also have rights to bring proceedings in the courts applicable to the part of the United Kingdom in which they live.
For US customers, applicable federal or state laws and consumer protections that cannot lawfully be excluded will continue to apply.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time, including to reflect changes to our products, services, policies or applicable laws.
The version of these Terms in effect when you place your order will generally apply to that purchase.
The date at the top of this page shows when these Terms were last updated.
